Dying to Drink? DFYIT Student Demonstration Has Teens Thinking Twice

Last Friday, over 100 DFYIT (Drug Free Youth in Town) students hit the streets of downtown Miami to spread the word about the deadly consequences of underage drinking.

To drive the point home, students transformed Bayfront Park into a mock cemetery, erecting over 400 tombstones to represent the number of teens who die every month due to underage drinking.
The Grim Reaper and other ghostly figures haunted the grounds as a grim reminder of the deathly toll underage drinking is taking on young people - and a sobering wake up call to the community to do something about it.
